lus zungs bdun

The branch of the body tissues on the balance trunk ( rnam par ma gyur pa ). A traditional image from the Atlas of Tibetan medicine.

Seven bodily constituents are nutrients/nutritional essence (dwangs ma), blood (khrag), muscle tissues (sha), fat tissue (tshil), bones (rus), bone marrow (rkang), reproductive fluid (khu ba).

In Sowa Rigpa there is considered that the transformation of bodily constituents occurs in such sequence. Tissues of such organs as brain (klad pa) and spinal cord (gzhungs pa) are attributed to the bone marrow.
